Randall Holcombe

“Following Their Leaders: Political Preferences and Public Policy”.

Dr. Holcombe is DeVoe Moore Professor of Economics at Florida State University, he is also Senior Fellow at the James Madison Institute, Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, and is a Research Fellow at the Law & Economics Center at George Mason University. He is vice president of the Mont Pelerin Society, serving from 2024-2026, and is past president of the Public Choice Society and the Society for the Development of Austrian Economics. Dr. Holcombe is the author of twenty books and more than 200 articles published in academic and professional journals. His books include Political Capitalism: How Economic and Political Power Is Made and Maintained (2018) and Following Their Leaders: Political Preferences and Public Policy (2023).

PhD in Political Science and Senior Researcher at the Instituto Xoán de Lugo. He holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Political Processes and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Universidad Santiago de Compostela. He has worked as a political and parliamentary advisor in various Spanish institutions. Additionally, he is a professor at the Instituto de Estudios Políticos y Relaciones Internacionales at Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

Benjamin Powell

Benjamin W. “Ben” Powell is the director of the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University and a professor of economics in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He is also a member of the Independent Institute and the South American editor of the Review of Austrian Economics. His dedication to teaching and research in economics has positioned him as an authority in the field, contributing to the academic debate on free market principles.

Carlos Sabino

“¡Basta de democracia! Contra la falsificación del liberalismo. Una aproximación histórica”.

Carlos Sabino is a professor at University Francisco Marroquín, member of the Mont Pèlerin Society, collaborator of the Center for Global Prosperity of CEDICE, and member of the Academic Council of the International Foundation for Liberty. He is also a visiting professor at the Center for the Study of Public Choice, George Mason University. He studied Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires and has a PhD in Social Sciences from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). In addition, he is the author of several history books, articles and other works.

Hannes Hólmsteinn Gissurarson

“Conservative Liberalism”.

Hannes H. Gissurarson is a professor of politics at the University of Iceland and director of research at RNH, the Icelandic Research Centre for Innovation and Economic Growth. The author of several books in Icelandic, English and Swedish, he has been on the governing boards of the Central Bank of Iceland and the Mont Pelerin Society and a visiting scholar or professor at Stanford, UCLA, LUISS, George Mason and several other universities. His most recent work is Twenty-Four Conservative-Liberal Thinkers (2020) in 884 pages, first and second volume.

“Entrepreneurship and Evolutionary Economics”.

Per Bylund, PhD, is a Senior Fellow of the Mises Institute and Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Johnny D. Pope Chair in the School of Entrepreneurship in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University, and an Associate Fellow of the Ratio Institute in Stockholm. He has previously held faculty positions at Baylor University and the University of Missouri. Dr. Bylund has published research in top journals in both entrepreneurship and management as well as in both the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics and the Review of Austrian Economics.

Hiroshi Yoshida is an award-winning Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Tax Accountant with a Ph.D. in Policy Studies from Chiba University of Commerce. He is the President of The Institute of Public Sector Accounting and of The Free Economy Institute in Japan, and Professor of Chiba University of Commerce. He will be presenting his animated book series on public accounting.
